  National Energy Policy

Issue Brief

Congress is expected to address a comprehensive bill updating U.S. national energy policy during the 115th Congress, and the White House is proposing major cuts to U.S. energy R&D and related programs.  IEEE-USA supports a balanced national energy policy with a focus on expanding energy efficiency, greening the electric power supply, electrifying transportation, and investing in deployment of a robust, secure and reliable national "smart" grid.
