IEEE member statistics reveal that 1 out of every 4 IEEE member is a Young Professional. IEEE member data also shows that the average age of IEEE members is increasing – which in fact means IEEE is ageing. This is where the importance of IEEE Young Professionals come into the picture, which would cater the future IEEE leadership.
This webinar will go over IEEE Young Professionals program, IEEE membership after graduation and much more. We will discuss on how early career young professionals can make use of the IEEE-USA products and services, IEEE-USA e-books, conferences and also touch upon the professional and networking benefits brought in by IEEE Young Professionals program. We will also look into how young professionals can get involved with IEEE-USA with regards to public policy.
About the Presenter
Ramesh Nair has over 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. He currently works as a Senior CAD Engineer with Intel Corporation in Folsom, California. At Intel, he works on tools, flows and methodology for next generation core CPU and SoC designs. Ramesh’s areas of technical interest includes Electronic Design Automation, Static Timing Analysis and Low Power Circuit Design. He has also over 9 years of IEEE volunteering experience in various Regional, MGA and global committees. He is a recipient of multiple Intel Organizational and Department awards, 2018 IEEE MGA Achievement Award, 2017 IEEE MGA Young Professionals Achievement Award and the 2014 Design Automation Conference (DAC) Young Research Fellowship. Ramesh holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from University of Cincinnati.
