Overview

Each year, IEEE-USA sponsors three government fellowships in which the recipients get to spend a year in Washington serving as advisers to either the U.S. Congress or to key U.S. Department of State decision-makers. To help give IEEE members insight into what happens during this year-long fellowship, 2011 Engineering & Diplomacy Fellow Rebecca Taylor and 2008 Congressional Fellow Sherry Gillespie will discuss the process and benefits of applying and being selected for this fellowship, and they will share some of their unique experiences during their assignments.
