The results of IEEE-USA’s latest Salary & Benefits Survey are in!
In 2019, the typical U.S. tech professional IEEE member earned $148,500 in 2019, excluding overtime, profit sharing, and side hustles. While that’s up 2.4 percent from $145,000 in 2018, real income was virtually unchanged. It’s also a smaller increase than the previous year.
Yet in spite of the salaries staying relatively flat, job satisfaction is way up. In fact, overall job satisfaction among respondents reached its highest level since IEEE-USA began tracking that metric.
