Statement from 2021 IEEE-USA President Kate Duncan Welcoming New Administration

20 January 2021

On behalf of our nearly 170,000 U.S. members, IEEE-USA welcomes the new Administration and new Congress to Washington.

We are pleased to see the emphasis being placed on science and technology with the early appointment of the President’s Science Advisor-Designate Eric Lander and the elevation of his post to the President’s Cabinet.

We look forward to working with both the Administration and Congress in support of the important work that lies ahead to advance America’s capabilities in science and technology and its contributions to our quality of life and in service to humanity.

Sincerely,

Katherine J. Duncan
2021 President, IEEE-USA
