This e-book series, and this compilation of e-books, highlights the careers and accomplishments of women engineers. It demonstrates the challenges women face, and have faced, to have a career in engineering. As a profession, we need to encourage more women to pursue careers in technology–and bring their perspectives to the development of products engineers bring forward. We also need to develop the resources to assist them in progressing in their careers, while achieving a balanced life. The latter is something all engineers need to focus on, considering not just their work in technology, but also their families and communities.
