About the Presenters

Terence YeohDr. Terence Yeoh is a Scientist at FTS International. FTS International provides independent analysis and mission support services. The Washington Post named FTS one of the top workplaces for the last six years. In his career Dr. Yeoh has held a variety of roles in Systems Engineering, R&D Portfolio Management, Program Management, and Corporate Strategy. He has a passion for creating technology and is currently growing in his experience with business development.

Yeoh holds eleven patents in areas that include infrared microscopy, compressive sensing, and artificial intelligence. He is a recipient of the Dr. Alexander C. Liang Aerospace Asian Pacific American Association award. He is a project management professional (PMP) and a Senior Member of the IEEE. He earned his doctorate in Materials Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

In his free time, he enjoys writing code and stories. He also plays team-centric video games and the acoustic guitar. He has developed the YouTube series: “YO on the GO,” seasons 1 and 2, and has recently published “The Ultimate Upgrade,” available in print and ebook format.

Aaron Lin

Aaron Lin is the Co-founder of Startup East Bay, a mentorship network of community-minded students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Cal State East Bay, dedicated to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the East Bay and beyond. Through community building events we follow the mantra of gathering the community, sharing resources, and building ideas. From student leader to profesional volunteer at Oakland-East Bay Section(IEEE), Aaron has applied what he learned from Startup East Bay to his professional experience for the last 8+ years. Aaron currently works at Workday as a Data Informatics Analyst, the team is responsible for Data Governance and Data Quality.
